Welcome to The Good Shepherd Catholic Multi-Academy Trust

Our Catholic Trust, situated in the Diocese of Brentwood, consists of seven primary academies and one secondary academy which are located across Barking, Dagenham and Redbridge. Our vision is the provision and development of a world class community of schools, providing the highest possible care, support, opportunities and outcomes for every child. Pupils are cherished for who they are, as much as for what they achieve and all achievements are celebrated.

One of the founding principles of our trust is subsidiarity; that all decisions are made at the most appropriate level, rather than being imposed from above. In practice, therefore key to the work of the Good Shepherd Catholic Trust is our Leadership Group which consists of the Headteachers and Chairs of Governors from each school within the trust. The Leadership Group meets every half term. As well as sharing good practice, they offer mutual support and development, plan key school improvement activities and work with the Trustees to oversee the formation and implementation of Trust wide policies. 

The Trustees work closely with schools, their governors, staff, parents and the local community, partly through the school's appointed 'Link Trustee', to develop together the successful citizens of our future. We hope this website will provide an insight in to the work our trust is doing as well as the individual schools, each of which is unique, that work together to provide an outstanding education.
